Description
This set of cat color matching activities is a great way to teach colors while building early learning skills with your toddlers and preschoolers.
If you are looking for some fun ways to practice color matching with your preschoolers, you have come to the right place. This set of printables comes with three color matching activities with a fun cat theme.
These printables make a great addition to your math centers. You can add them to your lessons when you teach pets, cats, or colors. They’re also a great addition to your Letter Cc activities.
What’s included in the Cat Color Matching Pack?
This printable pack contains four cat-themed color activities that are a perfect fit for your preschoolers. Children will work on color recognition, visual discrimination, and fine motor skills.
There are two sets of color matching clip cards. One set of clip cards has children matching cats wearing sweaters to the matching ball of yarn while the other set has kids matching the yarn to the cat/sweater.
I prefer to print these cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. You can add a colored dot on the back of each card to make them self-checking.
There is a memory matching game. Print and laminate these pages, and cut apart the cards. Turn the cards facedown. Then, have kids flip over two cards at a time to find the matches (yarn to sweater). If the kids find a match, they keep the pair and go again. If they can’t make a match, their turn ends.
This is a great activity for building visual discrimination skills. There are two shades of green, two shades of pink, and two shades of blue in this game. For younger preschoolers, just include one of each. Challenge older students with both.
Finally, there are eleven color matching puzzles. Print these puzzles on cardstock, laminate them, and cut them apart. Have kids match the puzzle pieces.
You can make this a self-checking activity by putting stickers on the back of each puzzle.
